Question: I am not able to sleep on left side in the night. Sleeping straight and on right side makes me feel comfortable. Does it harm the baby?
Answer: Hello dear, The best sleep position is to sleep on your left side. Sleeping on your left side will increase the amount of blood and nutrients that reach the placenta and your baby. Keep your legs and knees bent, and put a pillow between your legs. These suggestions may not sound completely comfortable, especially if you are used to sleeping on your back or stomach, but try them out. Keep in mind that you may not stay in one position all night, and rotating positions is fine.

Question: I prefer to sleep on my right side coz its comfortable for me, n i feel mild pain in my left side n heaviness too.
Answer: It's ok dear it's gud to sleep on Syd's . Just avoid sleeping on ur back when you lie belly-up, the weight of your uterus can compress a major blood vessel, called the vena cava, disrupting blood flow to your baby and leaving you nauseated, dizzy, and short of breath. The best way to sleep during the second half of pregnancy is on your side especially left side for better flow of nutrients n blood to placenta.
