Planning for pregnancy

Question: We planing for baby since 5years n also My husband in gulf , n he have 50 million sperm counts, I have medical history 2times operation in my left ovary for cyst, now m cyst free, n now i have irregular periods after cyst problem before I have regular periods, my hubby come after 2years, for 3 months holidays, in August he's coming so we planing for baby so suggest me any food to improve my health n regular periods, dis all my problems n my history plzz help me mam to get pregnant dis time, plzzz reply me soon , n thanks for dis app

Answer: Hi dear I am first of all if your periods is irregular you still have time to make it regular please see a gynecologist and be under medication to regularise your periods apart from that for both of you you and your partner should stick to a healthy diet there are few food which boosts fertility like milk, cheese, yogurt, fatty fish, whole grains, eggs and loads of water and cut down on coffee, alcohol, processes food. Secondly Intercourse- It plays major role in planning a baby, you need to get intimate on the most fertile days of yours which is at your ovulation time, which is generally 9-18 days after your first day of your last period. There are a range of therapies too which boosts the fertility in you so that can be thought of as well and above all keep yourself happy-healthy and without stress , enjoy a healthy conjugal life to welcome a healthy baby. Answer: Hi dear, To conceive make sure following tests are done: 1- TSH needs to be below 3 for conception 2- blood sugar levels are in range 3-blood pressure is optimal 4- if you have any period irregularities,check with any PCOD or endometriosis issues 5- BMI body mass index should be between 18-25 6- blood group of yours and husband 7- genetic disorders 8- iron level is above 11 Apart from that,you need to start taking folic acid supplement prior to conception. Healthy lifestyle,including diet and exercise needs to be started . irregular periods could be due to underlying problem,check with doctor,and start the treatment right away.
