Question:my 2 months old lo has fever since afternoon.. her body temperature is 99.6, checked in her under arms.. anyone please suggest how to decrease baby's body temperature.
Place a cool, damp washcloth on your child's forehead while she rests.
Give your child a lukewarm tub bath or a sponge bath. As the water evaporates from her skin, it will cool her and bring her temperature down. Don't use cold water. It can make her shiver and cause her body temperature to rise.
.Use a fan. Again, you don't want your child to be chilled. Keep the fan at a low setting and have it circulate the air around her rather than blow directly on her.
Remove layers of clothing so your child can lose heat more easily through her skin. Dress her in one light layer.
.Stay indoors in a cool place. Or, if you're outside, stay in the shade.
If still your lo body temperature is more than 100 please consult your doctor..
Question:My baby is 6months old...she is having 99.7 temperature...is this normal....or need to go to the doctor
normal body temperature for a healthy baby is between 97 and 100.3 degrees Fahrenheit.
If it is between this range than it is completely normal.
The most important thing is how she looks and acts. If she appears well and is taking fluids, and no other symptoms there's no need to worry.
But remember if your baby's temperature reaches 104 degrees, regardless of symptoms, please see a doctor.
Question:What is considered as normal range of body temperature for toddlers if temperature taken under arms....
Answer: Most doctors says... A normal body temperature for a healthy child is between 97 and 100.4 degrees Fahrenheit (36 to 38 degrees Celsius). If your child's temperature is above this range, he has a fever.
