7 months old baby

Question: Suggest travel foods for 7 month old baby.

Answer: Cerelac can be given as alternative food item. Till 6-7 months , if you have enough breast milk, feed that milk to you baby. Mother's milk is the best food in the world. While travelling/in an emergency you can carry Cerelac as keeping lots of food items are very difficult. At home you can boil Carrot, Potato , make them paste and add little bit veggie stocks( The left over water of boiled vegetables) and give it to your child. As alternative , you can give Raagi soup also. For my child I have added Moong dal ( 2 spoons), Chana Dal( 2 spoons), Raagi ( 3 spoons), Urad dal ( 2 spoons) and finally Jawar ( 2 spoons). Fry all the above mentioned ingredients and after becoming cool, Grind them in the mixture and keep it in the air tight container. Daily, you can feed 1 spoon with milk and give it to your child. It should semi liquid consistency.

Question: Plz Suggest some foods for 7 months old baby
Answer: Dear the nutritious diet for a seven month old are: idli, dosa, stewed apple, mashed banana. In addition you can give well steamed and pureed vegetables like carrots, sweet potato, sweet pumpkin, French beans, pulse soup ( moong dal ka pani). You can try offering these veggies in finger food form if your baby can eat. Ragi porridge is also highly nutritious and recommendable. No non- vegetarian food now. In the beginning everything you feed be in semi solid state. Preferably 3 teaspoons and later gradually increase the quantity and you will find how much your baby needs. Let these be fed during mornings (8.30 a.m.) or afternoon (12.30 p.m.).

Question: Can anyone suggest solid foods for my 7 month old baby ?
Answer: Hi dear, Yes,you can start giving solid diet along with breastfeed.remember the motive is to introduce variety of solids for taste and texture and not to increase weight through it.start very slow by introducing one solid at a time.watch out for any kind of indigestion or allergies.Home cooked food is more beneficial as they are fresh and free from any preservatives. Try giving him mashed banana, boiled mashed apple.ragi porridge with pinch of jaggery. Mashed boiled rice with daal water. Clear vegetable soups, tomato soups .mashed veggies like carrot and potato.homecooked idly is easy to digest too.khichdi is excellent now.you can also add some spices like jeera to add flavor.remember not to put salt in food before 1 year.youay add just a pinch so it doesn't appear bland.beleive me that much salt is just right.donot introduce cow milk products before 1 year,as this could give baby lactose intolerance.whole wheat roti dipp d it daal could also be given .juices should always be given in diluted form and never concentrated from.biscuits should be avoided too. Also refer the healofy app for daily updates on baby development and growth,as well as pregnancy care.it also gives you enormous info on post delivery baby care and diet.donot miss out!
