Answer: Hello dear
It is a matter of concern if ur baby is not drinking milk. If the situation is right from the time of birth, it means that he is having a kind of difficult breastfeeding and this is sometimes obvious while sometime mysterious too.
1. Sometimes baby finds difficulty in breathing, so they refuse to drink milk.
2. The child might be suffering from any kind of pain like ear infection or any other discomfort.
3. If your baby refuses to drink milk and you have found out other issues, see whether he is allergic to milk or not.
4. Sometimes the child is not feeling well and so he refuses to drink milk.
5. Sometimes the mother is unaware and the milk flow either is too much or too slow due to which the child refuses to drink milk.
Question: My baby is 1 month 13 days old . She was born with 2.2 kg of weight and was in NICU for 1st 2 days after birth . She was fed with formula milk for 1st 2 days and after that as per doctors she was too weak to suck my milk . I use to extract my milk and give her , but since few days my brest has stoped producing milk . My doctor has given me some medicine to increase the milk production but it is not working . I m too worried what do I do ?? Is there any way my brest can start producing milk again ??? Please help me
Answer: You will need to force your baby to suckle your breast as that is the only natural way to gain flow. It was a mistake in the first place to have extracted and fed the baby. Your baby needs to learn how to suckle. The baby might cry initially but will learn after becoming sufficiently hungry..
Question: My little one is 5 months and 28 days. For the past three days she is pooping frequently. No fever, vomiting or other symptoms. She is active as usual. Started giving ragi kool 20 days back. Her intake is ragi kool once a day along with bm and formula. After every feed she poops instantly twice or thrice. Very confused what to do now. Visited my paediatrician and he told nothing to worry and gave electral powder along with an oral drop kind of medicine. But nothing worked.
Answer: Hi Dear!
As you hv mentioned that you have already taken the baby to Dr. thats fine , but first thing is offering solid before completion of 6 months should hv been avoided secondly even if you hv introduced Ragi there is no need to feed everyday, each food can react differently to each body, i would suggest you to pls stop offering Ragi fr few days keep the baby only on milk let it settle and then start with a diff food al together, keep giving the oral rehydration its important..
I hope this will work!
