Question: My placenta is low lying placenta in the scan ...is their any problem in normal delivery..??
Answer: hi dear!
so low lying placenta means that the placenta that is usually suppose to be towards the up is now in the lower region of the body.somewhere near the internal os( internal part of your cervix).
its position exactly is determined by grades of maturity.
this will tell us how near it is to the internal os. the more its closer , more is the trouble cause. as then c section would be done. if the grade are 1 and 2 then dont worry its a normal vaginal delivery and if grade 3 and 4 then dear it will be a c section.
and it is also determined by the position. it can be attached either on the anterior side or the posterior side. and its normality will depend on the grade associated with it dear!
take care dear!
i hope this information was helpful to you .!
Question: My nuchal scan report shows placenta law lying touching internal os.this is nrml?
Answer: No. Dear its not good.
But since its earky pregnancy there are chances that your placenta woukd shift up with expanding uterus. .
As there are chances that your placenta would shift up. Placental migration does take place. However your gynaecologist will decide if your placenta is safely situated or not. If it is ....you have a good chance to deliver normally.Dont worry. If the placenta is low lying then you might have to have a c section. Anyways there are several criteria to decide if you'll have a normal or c-section. So don't keep worrying about this.

Question: What is low lying placenta??? my 6 weeks 4 days scan report show low lying placenta..any problem to my pregnancy plz tell me
Usually the position of placenta is either at side or top if the placenta is attached at the back side of the uterus is posterior placenta, incase of low lying placenta it is attached at a lower end to the uterus, there are some difficulties as it may cover the cervix which can be a problem in vaginal birth ,it can cause pre term birth also but it mat move up along with the uterus at a later stage..
Please do as the Doctor say, dont worry much,do nor walk fast, lot if bed rest, dont squat, dont lift heavy weight, avoid bumpy road, no intercourse, have fibrous food avoid constipation,
Good luck & hope this helps!

Answer: Bedrest is recommended for low lying placenta because if u don't do enough result bleeding can occur and it can cause miscarriage.so do as much rest as possible, your placenta might go up because of rest and after that your doctor will tell u whether u can do normal activities or not. Pls don't worry in most cases placenta can go up with proper rest.
