Answer: Hello dear. I am sahring some remedies which have always worked for my daughter. For cough...put some garlic cloves in a thread and make the child wear it like a neckpiece the garlic cloves should touch the chest it will help control the running nose, chest cogestion. Also u can make an oil to massage at night. Take mustard oil and put methi dana, ajvain, garlic and neem leaves. Heat the oil till all dese ingredients are golden brown. Let it cool and strain the oil. Heat the oil when u use it. U can massage the chest ,back and feet with this oil before the child sleeps. Make sure to make the child wear socks after u massage with this oil it will double the effect. Hope this all helps 😊

Question: My 7 month baby has secretions in nose but its not running out fluid....i can hear the noise of secretions whenever he breathe...what should i do
Answer: Hi mommy,  I know it gets really difficult if baby gets cold and as he/she is so small that we can't give medicines. Some tips I am suggesting hope it will help. Take care! Lots of rest: Fighting an infection takes energy and can wear a child out. When your child's resting, he's healing. And that's exactly what he needs to do. Steamy air: Breathing moist air helps loosen the mucus in the nasal passages. A warm bath is very relaxing, too. Have a humidifier or a cool-mist vaporizer going at night and during naps and playtime in the bedroom. Let a hot shower run for several minutes. Then give your child a warm bath or just sit with her in the steamy bathroom Saline drops and a bulb syringe: Drops clear the nose when kids are too young to blow their nose.Tip your child's head back and squeeze two or three saline drops into each nostril to thin and loosen the mucus. Try to keep his head still afterward for 15 to 30 seconds.Squeeze the bulb of the syringe, then gently insert the rubber tip into his nostril. Gently close off the other nostril with your finger. Slowly release the bulb to collect mucus and saline solution. Remove the syringe and squeeze the bulb to expel the mucus into a tissue. Wipe the syringe and repeat with the other nostril. Repeat procedure if needed.

Steam 3-4 times a day - hold him and sit in a steamy bathroom (run a hot shower). Also, holding him upright as much as possible will keep him comfortable. Question: My 14 months boy is having running nose and coughing alot..11-12 days back he suffered with high fever ,cold and cough. Cold and running nose was there since then but now he is coughing what should I do.
Answer: Hi, you can give her Calpol syrup prescribed by her doctor every 4-6 hrs and monitored her temperature every 2-3 hours as her temp. kept fluctuating between 99-102 degree Celsius . If the temp. exceeds 102 degrees, you should rush to the hospital for consultation . 2-3 drops of saline nasal solution were instilled to her twice a day She was breastfed on demand, wasn’t even accepting cooled boiled water. I tried banana porridge, bananas steamed , she vomited everything; so I stopped giving those . On the third day, I started giving vegetable soups for her, thank lord, she started accepting it. On the third day, she was taken to hospital for checkup , medicines were prescribedo. Forthe next few days, she was fed on soups, cooled boiled water and breast milk.Slowly started with half a steamed banana and milk. WHAT ARE THE HOME REMEDIES USED DURING THIS TIME ?  While sleeping , her head was kept raised with the help of pillows so that she could breathe easily Heat a tava and dry roast 5 garlic pods and 2 tsps of ajwain. Once roasted , make a pouch out of it in a clean muslin/ wash cloth. This pouch was warmed , and rubbed on baby’s chest and back when she was sleeping. This helps to dissolve the phlegm accumulated in her chest . Water boiled with ajwain can also be given , though my baby didn’t accept it Warm drinkable boiled water was given to her to loosen the phlegm thereby reducing chest congestion A small piece of ginger and 1 tsp honey was crushed , and the juice was given to her. It helped to cure her sore throat I kept vaporizer on in the room with tulsi leaves where she sleeps , so that the moisture helps her to breathe and soften her congested nose
