Planning for pregnancy

Question: My last period was on 2nd Dec 2018 and have consultanted a doctor week back. They have done the ultra scan and said this is too early to check. Will do one more scan after 2 weeks. As per my calculations it's almost more than 2 and half month and as per doctor its one month and 2 or 4 days. The problem is that am having irregular periods. My endoterium size is 13.7. Is it confirmed?

Answer: hi dear since period is irregular that is why you are facing this issue but please don't worry do take the test after 2 weeks to check the growth of the baby thick endometrium describes a condition in which the lining of the uterus, called the endometrium, becomes too thick. Immediately after periods the endometrium is 1 to 4 mm. As the estrogen level rises during pregnancy the thickness increases to 7 to 10 mm. If they didn't see a sac and you got a positive pregnancy test, then you are probably in the very earliest stages of pregnancy, too early for any scan to pick up anything.. Hope this helps!

Question: Hello All, i had my last lmp 21 oct 2018. I got my scan today on 16 dec and they said heart beat is normal and pregnancy is of 6 weeks. So as per sonologist i am 2 weeks behind. Is it ok?? As i have irregular periods.
Answer: During sonography the average age of the baby is calculated on the basis of CRL. since you are saying that you had irregular period that means it is the case of late conception so please don't worry about this if everything else is normal

Question: As per my LMP, my EDD is on 21st nov 2018 and as per my 7th month growth scan it is 31st oct 2018. As per my LMP right now am 34 weeks and 2 days and as per the 7th month growth scan already it was 34 weeks. There is a confusion about my EDD. Please help me
Answer: It's very common, and no it's not a problem. The LMP date assumes that you ovulate exactly 14 days after the start of your last period (your LMP), but a lot of women don't ovulate at day 14. Some ovulate as early as day 9 or 10 or before (more likely if your cycles are shorter than 28 days) and some don't ovulate until day 21 or later (more likely if you have longer cycles). Additionally, the same women can ovulate on different days in different months. If you have a scan during the first 12 weeks of your pregnancy, they are usually very accurate in determining the age of the fetus - my doctor said +/- 3 days. If your scan date differs from your LMP, it's likely the scan date is correct and you didn't ovulate at exactly day 14. That's completely normal, and the only thing that becomes important then is that they adjust your due date.
