Answer: Hllo constipation s common problem in babies .giving him an additional 2-4 ounces (1/4-1/2 cup) of water after each feeding to help bowels flush properly. Prune juice has a natural laxative effect, but pear or apple juices also work well to relieve minor constipation. To avoid gassiness, start slowly with less than 2 ounces of juice after feedings.Bananas, rice cereal, carrots, and cheese are a mainstay of most infant diets--they also tend to have a binding effect on stool. Foods like apricots, pears, prunes, peaches, and plums are better choices to help avoid constipation. Sometimes making your baby’s body move will help get his bowels moving, too. Place your baby on his back in front of you. Lift up his legs and move them in a circular motion to mimic the motions of peddling a bicycle. .With your baby on her back, place your hand on her belly button. Using a clockwise motion, massage your baby’s tummy in ever bigger circles. Follow your baby’s cues as to how much pressure to use. If she fusses or cries, you’re pressing too hard.

Answer: Newborn digestive system is very sensitive as it is still in developing stage. That's why it's common for them to have gas, constipation, stomach reflux etc. When baby’s body is low on water then also constipation can occur or if there is any change in mother’s diet. Make sure you are feeding your baby at every two hours. Whenever you feed your baby drunk a glass of water, this will keep you hydrated and in turn baby will be hydrated. Include more of leafy vegetables and fibres in your diet. Eat food which is easy to digest. Avoid taking complex food as it might take long for then to be digested and can disturb your baby’s digestive system as well. Don't feed baby anything other than bm/fm. You can apply heeng water around her navel. Massage her minimum twice a day. Around her navel make circles first anticlockwise then clockwise while pressing gently. Give your baby tummy time (make her lie on her stomach), for 10-15mins in a day this will strengthen the muscles around her abdomen thus improving her digestive system. Avoid giving any over the counter medicine or gripe water to your baby.
Question: My 8 month baby is suffering from constipation from last 2 days.plz tell me the remedy to get rid of it without pain.
Answer: Make sure your child is drinking adequate amounts of fluids. If you are switching from breast milk to formula, give your baby no more than 1 fl oz (30 mL) to 2 fl oz (60 mL) of water and no more than 2 times each day for the first 2 to 3 weeks. Be sure to give your baby the suggested amount of formula for feedings plus the extra water between feedings. Do not give extra water for longer than 3 weeks unless your doctor tells you to. Do not give plain water to a baby younger than 2 months. If your child is older than 6 months, add fruit juices, such as apple, pear, or prune juice, to relieve the constipation. After age 6 months, give 0.5 Tbsp (7 mL) to 2 Tbsp (30 mL) of prune juice. Increase the amount slowly over time If fruit juices do not help, add baby foods with a high fiber content twice a day. High-fiber baby foods include cooked dried beans or peas (legumes), apricots, prunes, peaches, pears, plums, and spinach.
