Question: I m 8 month pregnant my blood report shows that wbc counts jyada hain... is it harmful to my baby??
Answer: White blood cell count is increased in pregnancy with the lower limit of the reference range being typically 6,000/cumm. Leucocytosis, occurring during pregnancy is due to the physiologic stress induced by the pregnant state. Neutrophils are the major type of leucocytes on differential counts..Since white blood cells fight off infection, people tend to think that elevated levels are actually beneficial. This is not necessarily the case! A high white blood cell count isn't a specific disease, but it can indicate another problem, such as infection, stress, inflammation, trauma, allergy, or certain diseases.
dont worry trust and follow your doctor suggestions..
