Question: My baby is 9 months old nd she is only 7kg..i am very worried plz suggest me some tips to increase baby weight as fast as possible

Answer: Dear 9 months babys weight should be 7-10 kgs. So your babys weight is completely normal. But for more weight gain you can start with sweet potatoes, potatoes, bananas, and apple. You can boil and mash these fruits properly before giving to your baby.Apart from this try to feed different porridge like Rice, Ragi, Moong or Roasted gram. You can give  Khichdi,  massed paneer , custard and yogurt. These are healthy and nutritious and help in putting on weight and strengthening the body from within.

Answer: If you are breastfeeding then breast milk is the best choice up to 1 year  Instead of fatty foods, high calorie energy dense foods increases weight without increasing the bad fat in the baby. Oats is the only cereal containing legume like protein. Oats can be given as Oats Porridge, Oats Kheer, Apple Oats Porridge, Oats pancake, Oats fruit Dosa. Ragi or Finger Millet is one of the best weight gaining foods. It is rich in dietary fiber, protein, Vitamin B1, B2, B6.
