Question: My baby girl is 7month now and she is pooping 3 ,4 times and it's slightly green colour .it started almost 3 days is it normal
Answer: Hi dear first of all green poop is normal in babies. You only worry when the poop is black, white or red, Or there is no poop even after 10 days. If the frequency of green potty in a day increases or even if loosies are occuring, then chances of stomach infection can be there. My paed said that since everything goes into baby's mouth, sometimes green potty occurs. However please check the following; *If any new food is introduced which is green. *If baby has cold? *If baby is on Iron drops *The green can be due to the iron content of the formula milk you are offering. * Hind milk and fore milk imbalance- please ensure to feed the baby from both the breasts to avoid the imbalance. * Infection which can cause from the bottle or nipple if not washed properly. Please see a Doctor if baby shows discomfort. Hope this helps!

Question: My baby is not pooping since 4 days. She is 19 days old. Is it normal?
Answer: You can find a lot of different textures, colors, and odors in a baby’s poopy diaper based on what he’s eating (breast milk, formula, or solid foods). The poop is normally much softer than an adult's, and it’s not uncommon for it to be even softer than usual sometimes. But if it suddenly gets much looser or more watery, and happens more often and in large amounts, it may be diarrhea. Most common causes are food allergy or sensitivity to medicines An infection with a virus, bacteria, or parasite. Babies can pick up these germs through contact with unclean food or water or when they touch germy surfaces and then put their hands into their mouths. I recommend that you give your baby an oral rehydration solution. These products, which you can buy easily, have fluids and electrolytes and can prevent or treat dehydration. If your child eats solid foods, i recommend switching to bland, starchy foods like strained bananas, mashed apple and rice water until the diarrhea stops. Mothers who are breastfeeding might need to adjust their own diet to avoid any foods that could trigger diarrhea in their babies.Diarrhea that's caused by a viral or bacterial infection is very contagious. Wash your hands with warm water and soap every time you change your baby's diaper to prevent the infection from spreading. Keep the diaper-changing area clean and disinfected. Keep your child home from day care until he is completely recovered.
