Answer: Hi dear, Please wait till your baby reaches 6 months and then start solid food.this is too early .Post 6 months you can start giving solid diet along with breastfeed.remember the motive is to introduce variety of solids for taste and texture and not to increase weight through it.start very slow by introducing one solid at a time.watch out for any kind of indigestion or allergies.Home cooked food is more beneficial as they are fresh and free from any preservatives. Try giving him mashed banana, boiled mashed apple.ragi porridge with pinch of jaggery. Mashed boiled rice with daal water. Clear vegetable soups, tomato soups .mashed veggies like carrot and potato.homecooked idly is easy to digest too.khichdi is excellent now.you can also add some spices like jeera to add flavor.remember not to put salt in food before 1 year.youay add just a pinch so it doesn't appear bland.beleive me that much salt is just right.donot introduce cow milk products before 1 year,as this could give baby lactose intolerance.whole wheat roti dipp d it daal could also be given .juices should always be given in diluted form and never concentrated from.biscuits should be avoided too. Also refer the healofy app for daily updates on baby development and growth,as well as pregnancy care.it also gives you enormous info on post delivery baby care and diet.donot miss out!

Question: My baby is 6 months old. What solid food i should start to give her first ?
Answer: Start with fruit pureed, as it’s easy to digest. Always follow 3 days-wait-rule. That means you must keep a gap of 3 days between two new foods. This is the best way to check food allergies in babies. Stop feeding that particular food in case of food allergy. Don’t add breastmilk or formula milk during cooking, it should not be heated directly on the flame. Add breast milk or formula milk once the food is ready to eat for your baby. Baby food must be soft, properly cooked and easy to chew. Start with a very small quantity of 1 spoon and slowly increase the portion. Weaning food must be a single grain food.Always feed freshly cooked food to your baby. Do not add salt, sugar, honey to your baby’s food.Mashed bananaStewed apple Well steamed and pureed vegetables like carrots, sweet potato, pumpkin , french beansPulse soup (moong dal ka pani)Rice Water (Chawal ka pani)Homemade single-grain cereals like rice, barley, oats mixed with breastmilk or formula milkSteamed and pureed fruits like pear, avocado, peach, chikoo. You can try the homemade vegetable soup for your baby. Pureed vegetables (sweet potatoes, squash),Pureed fruit (apples, bananas, peaches),Pureed meat (chicken, pork, beef),Semi-liquid, iron-fortified cereal, Small amounts of unsweetened yogurt (no cow's milk until age 1).

Question: My baby is 3 and half month old ,may i give her solid food ,what should i give her
Answer: Mothers are usually recommended to exclusively breastfeed for their baby’s first six months.  After six months, breastmilk alone doesn't provide your baby with enough nutrients, particularly iron, so you will need to gradually introduce other foods.  Waiting until six months to introduce your baby to solid food protects her health. It reduces the chance that she will develop allergies or pick up an infection from food.
