Question: My baby is 2 years 7 months and she s just 9.7 kg. Worried on her weight. Eating food in very little quantity. Help me with your suggestions

Answer: Hello dear baby is 2 years and 7 months so weight baby's weight should be 11-18 kgs. So if baby's weight is less then this then you should to add bananas, sweet potatoes and potatoes to your baby's diet. Apart from this try to feed full cream milk to your little one. In case​ your little one is choosy about food do not worry in case of milk you can give full cream by making custard. It's loved by every child. All you have to do is make custard as per the directions given on the box once its cooked and refrigerated. Your child will love it. Apart from this you can give overnight soaked in water dryfruits like almonds and walnuts 2-3 of each to your child. Soaking in water will make them cool and will help your child strengthen from within.  Also give malai bread toast to your child . In case you have eggs then give boiled eggs to your child. Give egg yolk too as it has fats which will help put on weight. You may also give sheera made of aata and suji at the moment. All you have to do is take a tablespoon of aata and roast in 2 tablespoons of ghee. Roast till light brown however do not let it burn. Then add a bowl of water and whisk so that no lumps are formed. Once dropping consistency then add sugar as per taste. Remove from flame. Let it cool a bit and serve it. It helps in putting on weight and strengthen​s the body from within.Apart this fruits like bananas, chikoos and papayas when mashed properly cam be introduced to the baby. You may also go for experimenting with milk like make suji milk. All you have to do is just add a tablespoon of suji that's roasted in a tablespoon of ghee  in a bowl of milk. Bring it to a boil. Once the boil comes and milk starts getting cerelac like consistency then turn off the flame and add sugar as per taste. Serve warm. In case you want you may add roohafza or rose syrup to give a twist in the flavour.

Answer: hello dear first of all if baby is active then weight does not matter. second thing i know all mothers want their babies have chubby cheeks and look like golu molu but it is not possible in one day, one week or in one month. it takes more time. all babies do drama to eat food. but you have to prepare yourself for everything. some points that we need to keep in mind --- 1 it is a big task have patience. 2 cut down milk baby's milk intake because it can not fulfill all need what body wants. 3 try new food always and try to present food in new way like your baby's favourite cartoon or some funny face or in smilies. 4  at this stage baby needs 4 to 5 meals ( fruits, milk and snacks included). 5 always give well cooked food and fresh food .  6 if your baby is fussy eater then take help of rhymes, music and busy him or her in some activity and make him or her feed.  food items ---- eggs, potato, sweet potato, ghee, boiled potato these foods are contain high calories and help to increase weight. except them you can give everything which you cook in your kitchen.
