He then described that When babies are in mothers womb, the progesterone hormone level usually very high in mother's body during pregnancy and this hormone pass through umbilical cord and enter into babies body. After delivery the progesterone levels should go down to zero in babies body. Until the level goes down whitish or reddish discharge may occur occasionally in baby which is not harmful. Once the hormone levels goes to zero this discharge will vanish. I have seen thin in my baby twice or thrice. So don't worry. And about fever if the temperature goes Up to 100degree or more then you can give medicine, dosage should be consulted with paediatrician. In the meantime you can give a sponge bath, or put a damp or wet cloth on your child's forehead while she is resting. This can help to bring down temperature. If temperature is too high then you can go to paediatrician without late
