Question: Ma'm, im 5 weeks pregnant but dr said that there is cardiac activity seen USG...
Answer: Dear your profile says you are 9 weeks and you are saying 5 weeks. Your pregnancy is calculated on the basis of your last period first day. That first day of periods is counted as day 1 in your pregnancy. If we go by your profile then it is great to have cardiac activity seen in the scan. Hope it helps.
I did my first USG today
gestational sac seen (12mm)
yolk sac present but foetal pole not seen.
foetal cardiac activity not appeared yet.
can please tell me is this normal.. what does the report mean..
Answer: Between 5. 5 to 7 weeks a fetal pole or even a fetal heart beat may be detected by vaginal usg. The fetal pole is the first visible sign of a fetal developing embryo. If a vaginal usg done and no fetal pole or cardiac activity is seen, another usg scan should be done 3 to 7 days
