Question: Is it necessary / compulsory to go for nt scan n double marker
Answer: NT scan and double marker test check for down's syndrome. They tell if your baby has a higher or lower probability of having down's syndrome so that you can make the right decision at the right time. If you come to know that you have high probability of having a baby with down's syndrome and you do not want to continue with the pregnancy then you can make a decision to abort the baby. If you come to know about it further in your pregnancy it can become difficult to abort. Raising a baby with special needs is a life changing decision which some families are not equipped with. So yes, though the test is not compulsory it is very important.
