Answer: Hi! Usually the position of placenta is either at side or top if the placenta is attached, incase of low lying placenta it is attached at a lower end to the uterus, it can move up automatically at a later stage of pregnancy due to stretching of uterus, but there are some difficulties as it may cover the cervix which can be a problem in vaginal birth ,it can cause pre term birth also. Please do as the Doctor say, dont worry much,do nor walk fast, lot if bed rest, dont squat, dont lift heavy weight, avoid bumpy road, no intercourse, have fibrous food avoid constipation, Good luck & hope this helps!
Answer: Hie low lying If it is during initial phase of pregnancy it usually rises upwards as the baby grows around 20 weeks of pregnancy If the placenta does not rise upwards even post 20 weeks then it is called low lying or placenta pervia where in placenta grows towards the lower end of placenta It may block the opening of cervix and and prevent baby from Normal delivery But there are good chances it may still rise up by week 32 as your baby grows Bed rest is recommended in this case as low lying placenta may cause premature birth or some other complications
Answer: low lying placenta can move up during the course of pregnancy. You must avoid intercourse and report any case of bleeding to your doctor. In a rare case that placenta does not move up also, chances of anything bad happening to the baby or mother is very less. Just be careful about episodes of bleeding and please do not have sexual intercourse till you are advised that it is safe to do so.
