39 weeks pregnant mother

Question: Its my last week of pregnancy and dr says cervix is one finger on distance do i need to worry . Kindly suggest i m taking 4km walk a day n dr suggested to keep moving on stairs

Answer: Dear, it means your delivery time is near. If the cervix is found to be 2 cm thick, effacement is about 50 percent. And less than 2 means baby is on the way and can come out anytime. And I think your length would be now near 2. So keep on walking and use stairs.
