Home remedies for Nasal congestion are as follows

Coconut oil massage

Apply Vick's in a betel leaf and keep it under lamp for two min,then massage baby's chest with that leaf,it will cure a lot
Massage with warm mustard oil,will also reduce cold

Answer: This remedy is known as unakka manjal chuttathu in Kerala.
Place dried turmeric stick on the flame till its gets a slightly charred texture. Rub on a stone to get the turmeric paste.
Apply the paste on the bridge of baby’s nose to get relief.
Mix turmeric powder with a little water to form paste. Take it in a ladle and heat it. Switch off once warm.
Apply the luke warm turmeric paste on chest, forehead and feet. The heat from the turmeric can absorb the phlegm, thereby relieving the baby from cold and cough.
Warm mustard oil with a few kalonji seeds (nigella sativa) and 2 garlic cloves. Apply on baby’s chest, under the nose, back of feet and palms. Massage gently.
You can wipe off the excess oil post massage

Please consult the Paed before giving any medicine however you can follow some home remedy too.
*Steam n nasoclear drops.
Steam 3-4 times a day - hold him and sit in a steamy bathroom (run a hot shower). Also, holding him upright as much as possible will keep him comfortable.
Saline nasal sprays are good too and will help keep nasal passages moist and loosen the mucus.
*apply babyvicks on clothes bedsheets for some relief.
*If you are massaging massage with warm oil...that also bring relief
*you can give ajwain sek in a potli too.
