Question: Is delivery date according to ultrasound is correct??

Question
Answer: Hello, Your due date is calculated by adding 280 days (40 weeks) to the first day of your last menstrual period (assuming a 28 day cycle). Note that your menstrual period and ovulation are counted as the first two weeks of pregnancy. If you deliver on your due date, your baby is actually only 38 weeks old, not 40. Also doctor also calculate according to ultra sound scan.

Question: There is a confusion that my Dr has given me delivery date 6 Nov but according to my ultrasound report it is 25 October.which one is correct
Answer: The date which doctor has given you is according to your LMP (i.e. 40 weeks from your last menstrual period) but the date in your report is as per your baby's growth. So the difference in both the dates is normal and both are correct however as far as your delivery is concerned it may happen anytime near these dates your doctor will let you know by 36th or 37th week of your pregnancy by performing PV exam.
