Question: My 19wk scan showed anterior placenta. 21wk scan it says fundal posterior placenta. What does this mean? Is this normal?
Answer: Hi dear. Although both th placenta placement is fine and good but the main thing is that placenta can be either anterior or posterior. It can be anterior from posterior and vice versa. It can shift only if it was pervia or low lying. You need to ask your sonographiest about the miss printing or miss handeling. One of the report is definetly not right. Next time in sonography do ask them to be more atentive. Good luck.

Question: In my 19 weeks scan placenta location is anterior. What does it mean?
Answer: Hi. Anterior is placement of placenta on your front wall of uterus. Its not at all a problem in pregnancy. In anterior placenta if you touch your tummy to feel your baby you would instead feel your placents. But its not a problem. With anterior placenta its just that you would feel the kicks a bit late.
