Question: Hello, triple marker n NT scan are done to know the disabilities/abnormalities as doc said, wat abnormalities will be known only body parts or it can be known whether the baby is dumb or deaf is known in scan
Answer: Hi dear. It's done for testing the baby for down syndrome. It even helps you understand if you are having multiple pregnancies They look at these criterias. If the baby's protein levels are high. Then there is one hormone that's produced in the placenta. So it's checked if that's high. And if baby has down syndrome. Please note it cannot be detected if baby is deaf or dumb. Abnormalities in the body parts would be indicated. That's all.
