During pregnancy,the thyroid stimulating harmone (TSH) level,should be lower than level of non pregnant ,the level of thyroid during first trimester is 0.1-2.5,and in second trimester is 0.2-3.0,third trimester 0.3-3.0,the difference in these values lead to thyroid definiciency, there are two types of thyroid know as hyper and hypothyroidism Untreated thyroid condition can cause problem during,but many womens are well treated and yields healthy baby,those with hyperthyroidism will be more careful because Thier fetus has higher risk to develop neurological or IQ problem Precautions to control thyroid .. Question: I have pregnancy related hypothyroidism in which my tsh level is 7.88 and t3,t4 are in normal range my doctor started thyroxine tablet...my question is that whether my hypothyroidism will b normal after delivery or it will continue
Answer: In some cases it becomes normal after delivery. Your doctor will suggest you to stop the medication for few weeks after delivery ( mine did) and then get the test done, to see how thyroid is doing without medicine. Mostly it comes normal.
Question: I'm 7weeks pregnant, diagnosed with TSH 3.41. Doctor has prescribed thyronorm 25mcg. will it work? is 3.4 too high in first trimester? please help me
Answer: I m 7 weeks pregnant n had TSH 3.6 but my doctor has not prescribed any medicine. She said no need of medicine for this much TSH otherwise it will get low.
