Question: My ultrasound scan findings for 5weeks are A well defined gestational sac is noted in the uterine cavity. The embryo/yolk sac echo is not visualised at present. GS :12mm 5w. The trophoblastic reaction is regular. No perisac collection noted. No focal myometrial lesions. The internal os is closed. Is there anything to worry?
Answer: Hello! There is nothing to worry. The report mentions that the baby is not seen which is usual in 5th week. It takes time for the baby and its heart beat to get detected. Hence don't worry. Go for a rescan at 8-9weeks, you will get a better picture. Take care

Answer: When the placenta develops at the back wall of the uterus, it is considered posterior placenta. This happens when the fertilised egg travels through the fallopian tube and attaches itself on the back or posterior side of the uterus. Having both anterior and posterior placenta is normal and doesn’t affect the growth and development of the baby. else everything seems normal. baby is continue moving. hr is also normal.
