Question: I'm 19 weeks pregnant with twins. Scan shows mcda twins. Is it risk during delivery...
Answer: Hi Dear! It means it's a monochorionic diamniotic twins which means that the baby shares a single placenta and they are identical twins but 2 amniotic sac they very rare and have a high risk of cord entanglement. With a single water bag chances of iugr are more. Also it is important to get quad screening and fetal anomaly scans to rule out the difftwntial growth between the two. But it is important to not to worry as many women do carry the pregnancy successfully to 9th month with proper care, rest and good eating habits. Keep faith. And do not miss your scans..
