Question: Always I try to sleep by left side..but I can't sleep.. I can sleep by back..will it cause any problem?
Answer: Experts recommend pregnant women avoid sleeping on their backs during the second and third trimester. The back sleep position rests the entire weight of the growing uterus and baby on your back, your intestines and your vena cava, the main vein that carries blood back to the heart from your lower body. This pressure can aggravate backaches and hemorrhoids and make digestion less efficient, interfere with circulation, and possibly cause hypotension (low blood pressure), which can make you dizzy.
Question: Something i am not able to sleep neither left side nor right side at night time. What should i do? Is sleep on back(straight) is safe ?
Answer: Left side is best position to sleep. Because on right side it squeezes your own liver which is not good for you. and on back is most unwanted position as it exerts pressure on the veins which transfer blood to yours and babies heart. By this baby doeant get enough oxygen. So best position is left side. Try with a heavy pillow by your back where you can get support, one thin pillow under you belly and another normal pillow between the knees. Question: I m 24 weeks pregnent ..... i sleep on my left side at night but when i wake up at mid night i find myself sleeping in back position what to do ..i m scared ....can it harm the baby...
Answer: I do not worry it should not harm the baby we tell it is avoidable to sleep it should be on the back with his because sleeping on the back may cause more pressure on the sciatica nerve which can lead to back pain and therefore it is advisable to avoid sleeping on the back and to sleep on the left side if during the sleep if you are going to the back it is OK nothing to worry but be careful is the best advice that I can give you so when you are going to the back side you should try and see to it that you again change your position to was the left side sleeping on the back for a few minutes will not harm
