Answer: Hello! Yes, you can eat fish. Make sure that you avoid the fish with high mercury content like shark, swordfish or tuna, Bluefish,Grouper (Kalava in Malayali), Sea Bass (Asian seabass is bhekti) Tuna (Canned Albacore, Yellowfin). The fish should be properly cooked, as raw or uncooked fish can cause infection. Infact, fish is a good source of protein, so keeping in mind these few things, you can have fish.

Question: Hi.. I'm 17weeks pregnant.. can i eat fish during pregnancy.. if yes.. which fish is good in pregnancy..?
Answer: Hello dear. You should limit how much you eat of these fish to two portions a week. Shark, swordfish and marlin contain much higher levels of mercury, so you shouldn't eat these fish at all while you're pregnant. Instead, you can eat as much as you want of any of the following salmon, tilapia, shrimp, tuna (canned-light), cod, and catfish.  You can also confirm this with your doctor before consuming. Take care.
