Question: Hii i m 20 week pregnant and have done Anamoly scan my USG is normal but my cervical length is 2.47cm(TVS) internal os is closed & no funneling is there is any problem related to the length of cervix?
Answer: Hi! The length of your lower uterus level is the cervical length which is connected to your vagina. Usually a normal cervical length is 4-5 cm long when not pregnant and its closed and rigid but during the course of pregnancy it becomes soft and dilated hence women with short cervix get cervical stitches to protect the baby, u mght be suggested the same by ur gynae.. Also now that you know that u hv cervical incompetency so avoid sexual intercourse and lifting Heavy weight. Bed rest is important (condition varies from women to women) Hope this helps!

Question: did my 4th month scan today. please can u check and tel me what the report says. the report reads Placenta fundal and shows grade 0 maturity. no placenta previa liquor is adequate Internal OS and cervical canal ars closed. Cervix measures 2.9cm no obvious major congential anomalies seen. Evidence of anechoeic collection of 1.6cm thickness seen on right side of gestational sac s/o sub chorionic haemorrhage.
Answer: hello dear everything is normal... the placenta position, liquor which is amniotic fluid everything is normal not to worry.. subchorionic hematoma is the most common sonographic abnormality in the presence of a live embryo. Vaginal bleeding affects 25% of all women during the first half of pregnancy and is a common reason for first-trimester ultrasonography. Just relax and think positive. If you worry is not good for the baby. in some women it not as well but it reabsorbed. doctors suggest progesterone and lots of bed rest. No heavy liftings. It worked wonders!
