Question: M suffering from severe headache what should I do plz help me
Answer: Hello It's common to get headaches when you're pregnant, And if you've always been susceptible to them, pregnancy can make the problem worse. Paracetamol, is considered safe for occasional use. But before you pop a few pills, ask your doctor for advice.  You could also try these safer methods *After a hard office day or hard home day start taking regular fresh air breaks. During pregnancy Headaches may also be a sign of an allergy. If you find that certain smells or foods irritate your system and cause a headache, it is best to avoid them.  *Apply a warm compress around your eyes and nose for sinus headaches, and a cool compress at the base of your neck for tension headaches.  *A cold and stuffy nose can give you a headache. Try relieving the pain using a steam inhalation with a drop or two of peppermint or eucalyptus oil added. *When out in the sun, use an umbrella or dupattato cover your head and dark glasses to protect your eyes from the glare. Drink lots of water to keep yourself hydrated as well. *Give yourself a treat, and slip into a salon or spa for a professional massage. Or, if you get a maalishwali to come home. Massage works especially well on tension headaches, which build in the neck, shoulder and back muscles. If you plan to use essential oils, tell your masseuse that you are pregnant. However, some essential oils are best avoided in pregnancy. *Low blood sugar is a common cause of headaches. Try eating smaller, more frequent meals. If you're on the move, keep some snacks (crackers, fruit, wholewheat biscuits) in your bag. *regular exercise can reduce the frequency of migraines. A walk in the neighbourhood park or a dip in the swimming pool at least once a day can be effective.  *Sometimes pregnancy may affect your vision, causing headaches. A trip to the eye doctor (ophthalmologist) may help.  *This is a simple but effective remedy a cold shower It works by bringing fast but temporary, relief. If you can't take a shower, splash some cool water on your face.  *You may also want to try meditating and breathing exercises to de-stress. *Sometimes a headache may be brought on by fatigue and exhaustion. Getting some sleep may be the best way to take care of the pain. Hope this helps
