Kesar and cardamom + cinnamon flavored Milk(1 glass)

Soaked Almonds (6 pieces)
Breakfast (9.00 Am)
Besan/ Mung dal chilla with chopped Palak and grated carrots – (2 medium sized)
Curd1 Soup Bowl(1 Soup Bowl)
Egg Omlette(2 No.)
Toasted Brown Bread (2 slices)
Vegetable oats upama (1 soup bowl)
Apple /Guava / Pomegranate (1 medium size)
Coconut water / Lemonade (1 glass)
Quinoa / Brown rice pulav with veggies (carrots , beans, capsicum , onions etc )- 1.5 soup bowl
Dal tadka / Fish curry(1 soup bowl)
sliced cucumber (1 medium)
sliced tomatoes(2 medium size)

Tea(1 cup) / Milk
Wheat and methi Khakara (2 medium )
2 Table spoon – Museli / wheat flakes / oats bite (avoid the sugar coated cereals )

Question: Doctor i have gestational diabetes from 3 month itself .every month diabetes level some times increase and some times decrease .now am n 7 th month gestational diabetes sugar level 145 is it will affect the baby?
Answer: Hello... The normal blood sugar level during pregnancy is or at below95 mg/dL, after one hour of meal is to be below140 mg/dL,after two hour of meal below 120 mg/dL,the difference in the values will consider as gestation diabetes
Gestational diabetes is a condition in which a women without diabetes, will have higher blood sugar in pregnancy. Please don't get worried dear,
It will not harm your baby ,if you maintain a steady amount of sugar in your blood.with proper diet and exercise it can be controlled,and you will produce a healthy baby.... These are few stragies can be followed to control blood sugar
Limit the intake of corbohydrate in your diet , avoid to have white rice ,you can have rice in millet varieties
Include more proteins in your diet,that includes dairy products,lean chicken, fish , lentils, nuts and seeds
Take lot of vegetables in your diet, avoid starchy vegetables like potatoes , peas ... Because it will increase the sugar level. Intake of fiber rich fruits like apples,pears , guava will help a lot
Avoid sugar, caffeine, soft drinks, pastries,oil fried food
Regular exercise in pregnancy will keep your sugar in control,go for mild walk morning and evening
Make yourself engaged in some activities
Try maternity yoga, don't get stressed, relaxed and be happy, have a safe and happy pregnancy..
Question: Diagnosed with gestational diabetes..pls suggest me some foods i should avoid and some foods i can take..also can i take coconut water and dates?
Its better to avoid dates however coconut water should not be harmful.
If you have GDM be sure it does not pass through to your baby but yes due to high glucose levels baby's weight might increase than gestational age, baby may be too large.
Check your diet and reduce carb intake. take Doc prescribed medicine and it will be controlled. Walk daily and include lots of fruits, veggies and fish in your diet.
There are succesful stories of Normal delivery with healthy babies.
