Question: Today I have done NT scan in that NT is 0.8 mm..is it alright?? And why is it necessary to do NT scan?? Plz reply
Answer: Hello! Your NT report is normal. The NT scan is very first scan to detect cardiovascular abnormalities in a fetus. they also look for the thickness of the nuchal fold and whether the baby has a nasal bone yet. An overly thick nuchal fold and/or absence of the nasal bone can be markers for Down syndrome.
Question: Today I got my NT scan done. It shows subchorionic collection 24*6 mm in superior aspect and 30*4 mm in inferior aspect. Is this normal.
Subchorionic Heamatoma is common in a lot of pregnancies generally progesterone supplements are given either to consume or vaginal insertion and bed rest, in many cases its resolved on their own in the next scans.
Hence please discuss it with your Doctor and follow his instructions, you may experience bleeding or spotting till the time it dissolves.
Hope you feel better soon!
