Answer: Hello lovely, vaginal bleeding during pregnancy is any discharge of blood from the vagina. It can happen anytime from conception (when the egg is fertilized) to the end of pregnancy. Light bleeding, or spotting, during pregnancy is common, especially during the first trimester. Usually, this is no cause for alarm. But if the blood is more and it's happening to days then immediately contact healthcare.

Question: Hii I am 12 weeks pregnant.I a diagnosed with minimal subchorionic collection at 9 weeks. In my 11 weeks scan baby is fine cervix closed and no heamatoma seen.I had light spotting today. Is that normal. What can I do to resolve it.
Answer: The incidence of early hematomas are associated with a higher rate of adverse events, such as vaginal haemorrhage, miscarriage, early delivery, pregnancy-induced hypertension, pre-eclampsia, gestational diabetes, intrauterine growth restriction, and even stillbirth. You will need to undergo another usg scan at 14th week to identify the level of your placenta as well as the intrauterine haemorrhage location and expansion. Do not worry if your Dr is at ease. Because the size of hematoma matters if your hematoma is small and happened due to low lying placenta then its normal do not worry. Take care
