Question: Hello, i have a hypothyroidism and i am pregnant. could you please suggest me what all needs to be done to have thyroid in normal range
Answer: Hi dear First of all donot stress out due to thyroid issues.it is quite common in pregnancy time.moreover ,the right treatment at right time would help you manage the situation.i had thyroid too prior to concept.doctor have me medicine to bring by TSH below 3,it took about two months and then I conceived successfully.i had to alter my dose in the Pregnancy period as TSH increases in each trimester.there was no particular diet that I used to follow, but avoid cauliflower and cabbage varieties they tend to interfere in thyroid function.have the medicines in empty stomach.and only after 30 minutes of gap have your regular food or beverage.it helps in faster absorption.monitor the TSH in every 2-3 months as it keeps rising and your dose n eds to be altered.
