Answer: When the placenta develops at the back wall of the uterus, it is considered posterior placenta. This happens when the fertilised egg travels through the fallopian tube and attaches itself on the back or posterior side of the uterus. Having both anterior and posterior placenta is normal and doesn’t affect the growth and development of the baby.

Question: My Usg TVS report says there is chink of subchorionic collection noted at caudal end.Internal OS closed.Length of cerivical canal is 4cm.
Impression: single live intrauterine pregnancy of about 7weeks 1day maturity.
My doctor suggested me to wait for 11week.
My question is there anything wrong in my report as USG technician make me scared with my report.
Answer: Hi! There is nothing wrong in your report the only concern is subchorionic collection which is common in a lot of pregnancies generally progesterone supplements are given either to consume or vaginal insertion and bed rest, in many cases its resolved on their own in the next scans.
Hence please discuss it with your Doctor and follow his instructions, you may experience bleeding or spotting till the time it dissolves.
