Question: My 1st scan report is low lying placenta,&2nd scan report is single live intra uterine foetus with unstable presentation, foetal cardiac activity&movement are seen HR...150/BPM,liquor volume is adequate, placenta is on posterior mid segment grade 1maturity,foetal:spine,stomach bubble, urinary bladder are normal, lateral ventricle of brain measures 5mm at the time of scan,Impression; single live intra uterine foetus of 18week 3days gestational age with unstable presentation at the time of scan..
Answer: When the placenta develops at the back wall of the uterus, it is considered posterior placenta. This happens when the fertilised egg travels through the fallopian tube and attaches itself on the back or posterior side of the uterus. Having both anterior and posterior placenta is normal and doesn’t affect the growth and development of the baby. else everything seems normal. baby is continue moving. hr is also normal.

Question: My Usg TVS report says there is chink of subchorionic collection noted at caudal end.Internal OS closed.Length of cerivical canal is 4cm. Impression: single live intrauterine pregnancy of about 7weeks 1day maturity. My doctor suggested me to wait for 11week. My question is there anything wrong in my report as USG technician make me scared with my report.
Answer: Hi! There is nothing wrong in your report the only concern is subchorionic collection which is common in a lot of pregnancies generally progesterone supplements are given either to consume or vaginal insertion and bed rest, in many cases its resolved on their own in the next scans. Hence please discuss it with your Doctor and follow his instructions, you may experience bleeding or spotting till the time it dissolves. Hope you feel better soon!
