Question: My friend had misscarriage due to rubella virus. She is highly infected with this rubella and hsv virus. I m 5 week pregnant. She sits next to me atleast 8hr per day(office hours) what precautions should i take??
Answer: hi dear! you can use this special n95 mask dear but hsv virus is contagious dear. you will have to avoid sitting next to the patient dear . in hsv (herpes simplex virus) there are contagious sores present on the mouth or the genitals dear and it is no advisable to share your stuff with such patients dear as there can be a risk for you developing it because pregnancy is a immunocompromised state which means the immunity in pregnancy gets low due to sharing of the immunity with the baby so its better if possible you should avoid sitting next to the patient dear. and you should test for torch infection dear. take care.
