Question: Hi..i am 26 week pregnant i am having wrist pain in left hand and tingling numbness in right hand...why it happens and wt are the remedies to avoid this?
Answer: Hello dear
It is due to CTS. If you have tingling, numb and painful hands during pregnancy, it's likely to be caused by carpal tunnel syndrome (CTS). CTS is common in pregnancy. This swelling squeezes a nerve, called the median nerve, that runs down to your hand and fingers, causing tingling and numbness.
U can get relief from numbness:
1. Ice your wrist or soak it in an ice bath for 10 minutes to 15 minutes once or twice an hour.
2. Relieve nighttime pain by gently shaking your hand and wrist or hanging your hand over the side of the bed.
3. Immerse your hand in warm water with a temperature between 92 and 100 degrees and gently move or flex your hand and wrist. Do this three to four times a day.
Question: I am pregnant with 6months and i am having a tingling and numbness in my leg, please suggest me what should i do and what is my problem
Answer: Hello dear, your growing belly ends up pressing on and pinching your sciatic nerve, which originates in your pelvis and runs down both legs... This causes numbness in your legs...but you can try this exercise by standing facing a wall and place your hands on wall and lift your right leg behind you to the count of five.. then switch your legs and repeat...Do three reps on each side at least once a day... it will help in relieving the pressure on your legs and improve blood circulation... there by reducing the numbness... Hope this helps...
