I have the same problem, I never had this pain until after delivery, the nurses told me it could be gas that gets stuck in your chest from pushing and they gave me maalox and ginger ale which worked wonders. it was caused by gas as well and tried the ginger ale, as soon as I burp it starts feeling better. I hope that helps. It sounds pretty crazy but it helped me.
