Answer: It is completely normal and you can't entirely prevent it. Your hair will likely go back to its normal state within a year of your baby's birth, but until this happens you can be proactive and try different methods to strengthen your hair and keep it from falling out. An average woman sheds about 100 hairs a day. - You can eat food items which are rich in Vitamin C and B complex to stop hair fall. These vitamins can be found in peas, green leafy vegetables, oranges, yeast, sprouts, curd, buttermilk, soya, whole grains and nuts. Consuming these on a regular basis will help in the reduction of hair fall. - Regular massage of your scalp will increase the blood circulation and will also promote the hair growth. You can use lukewarm oil for gently massaging your scalp for at least for 5-10 mins in a day and if in case you don't prefer oil then just massage your hair with the tips of your fingers. Massaging will also leave you relaxed and calm. Also you can try home remedies and other smart ways given by other mothers on this question.

My mom had got this dried herbs bottle from kerala, it's available with the specific kerala shops. we have put coconut oil in it and leave it for around 10 days. after that we should apply it. my hair loss actually stopped and hair has become thicker than before. give it a try.
Answer: My nutritionist suggested me to use curd. It is an excellent tonic which can help you in arresting the excessive hair fall and will improve the quality of hair as well. Apply the paste of curd on the scalp and leave it for 10 mins. You can even add curd into your diet to improve the nutritional value of your diet.
Answer: You should be extra-gentle during your shedding season to prevent excess hair loss. Shampoo only when necessary. In my case, I didnt have time to shampoo at all, and use a wide-toothed comb to minimize tangling.
