Answer: Hi dear, Strechmarks are due to streching of stomach skin due to growing baby. You can also get strechmarks anywhere in body like, shoulders, legs thighs etc.more water retention and increase body weight makes the skin strech and thus the strech marks.they are mostly itchy and scaly.they also turn pinkish or reddish. You should have taken precautions by end of second trimester by applying oil and lotions. Now at this stage you can still moisturize the area with coocoa butter or coconut oil. Never scratch it with nails.to sooth it can apply aloe Vera gel there. Basically keep the skin well hydrated by drinking lots of water and applying moisturizer. Bio oil can also be effective in keeping the area hydrated. If it itches ,use a clean soft cotton cloth to rub. Also refer the healofy app for daily updates on baby development and growth,as well as pregnancy care.it also gives you enormous info on post delivery baby care and diet.donot miss out!

Question: hi this is Priyanka I am 8 weeks pregnant mother I have throat pain and feeling like something is itching in my throat or something is there in my throat so can you please suggest some of the remedies
Answer: Hello dear. That could be acidity and heartburn which is causing this. It is normal during pregnancy. A natural remedy for heartburn involves the use of baking soda (which is sodium bicarbonate) to neutralize stomach acid - mix one tablespoon in½ cup of water and drink to relievesymptoms. Tell your doctor before using any natural remedies.Foods that can cause heartburn during pregnancy include chocolate, peppermint, caffeinated beverages (such as coffee, tea, and soft drinks), fatty foods, and alcohol.Because heartburn during pregnancy is thought to be caused by pregnancy hormones, heartburn will usually go away after delivery and no further treatment is needed. Heartburn during pregnancy is caused by a combination of pregnancy hormones and the growing baby inside you pushing on your abdominal organs. Fortunately, heartburn during pregnancy usually goes away after delivery. Foods may also aggravate heartburn during pregnancy. All the same foods that cause heartburn in non-pregnant people can cause heartburn during pregnancy, including: chocolate, peppermint, caffeinated beverages (such as coffee, tea, and soft drinks), fatty foods, and alcohol. The two feet of the head of the bed should be raised on 6 to 8 inch blocks. Alternatively, a 6 to 8 inch wedge-shaped foam rubber pad should be used to elevate the upper body. After meals avoid activities that require you to bend over. Instead take a short walk, do light housework, or surf the internet to avoid bending over.Don't bend at the waist; bend at the knees instead.Avoid tight clothing, which puts pressure on your abdomen and can aggravate reflux.lay on ur left side. Eating yogurt or drinking a glass of milk may help ease heartburn symptoms. If you are lactose intolerant choose lactose free products. Any specific foods that aggravate heartburn should be avoided (for example, coffee, cola, tea, alcohol, chocolate, fatty or fried foods, citrus fruits and juices, spicy foods, tomato, mint, etc.). Frequent, small meals should be eaten rather than three large meals, and the last meal of the day should be early in the evening at least three hours before bedtime. Women who are pregnant and have heartburn should not lie down soon after a meal. Slow down when you eat. Eating too quickly can lead to heartburn. Eating slowly can keep you from becoming too full, which can also result in heartburn. Try not to drink large amounts of liquids after the last meal of the day because the more empty the stomach is at bedtime, the less likely there will be reflux of acid.Sip liquids instead of drinking large glasses of liquids at once.adding Ginger to ur diet also helps. Just cut some ginger and add lemon and black salt to it. Have a couple of pieces after dinner abd lunch. Other home and natural remedies for heartburn include apple cider vinegar, 2-3 teaspoons in an 8-ounce glass of water. It is believed that even though apple cider vinegar is acidic, it helps balance the acid production in the stomach or buffer the acid activity. There is no evidence that homeopathic remedies work to treat heartburn during pregnancy. If you are interested in trying a homeopathic remedy, talk to your doctor first, and consult a registered homeopath. Hope this helps.
