Question: How to prevent stretchmarks. Any suggestion pls
Answer: Hi dear,
Strechmarks are due to streching of stomach skin due to growing baby. You can also get strechmarks anywhere in body like, shoulders, legs thighs etc.more water retention and increase body weight makes the skin strech and thus the strech marks.they are mostly itchy and scaly.they also turn pinkish or reddish. You should have taken precautions by end of second trimester by applying oil and lotions. Now at this stage you can still moisturize the area with coocoa butter or coconut oil. Never scratch it with nails.to sooth it can apply aloe Vera gel there. Basically keep the skin well hydrated by drinking lots of water and applying moisturizer. Bio oil can also be effective in keeping the area hydrated. If it itches ,use a clean soft cotton cloth to rub. Also refer the healofy app for daily updates on baby development and growth,as well as pregnancy care.it also gives you enormous info on post delivery baby care and diet.donot miss out!..
Question: I have hypo thyroid..pls give any suggestion to cure..
Answer: Hello dear. Women with established hypothyroidism should have a TSH test once pregnancy is confirmed, as thyroid hormone requirements increase during pregnancy, often leading to the need to increase the levothyroxine dose. If the TSH is normal, no further monitoring is typically required.
Untreated severe hypothyroidism in the mother can lead to impaired brain development.
If hypothyroidism is managed and treated properly, then both mother and baby are likely to be well. The extra medical care that you receive will help you to have a healthy and successful pregnancy.
Whether or not your baby will be born with hypothyroidism mainly depends on the cause for hypothyroidism in you.
