Question: How to maintain baby diet for four months old baby

Question
Answer: Babies are usually recommended to exclusively breastfeed for their baby’s first six months.  After six months, breastmilk alone doesn't provide your baby with enough nutrients, particularly iron, so you will need to gradually introduce other foods.  Waiting until six months to introduce your baby to solid food protects her health. It reduces the chance that she will develop allergies or pick up an infection from food.

Question: How to meantaint baby diet for four months baby
Answer: Exclusive breastfeeding nothing before 6 months Almost all health organization in the world including WHO, American Academy of Pediatrics, NHS, Indian Academy of Pediatrics, Australian Academy of Pediatrics etc recommends 6 months of exclusive milk feeding - bm or fm. And even post that, till 1year, milk remains primary - meaning you should not reduce milk to increase solids. You should always give milk about 40 minutes before solids. There is no single solid food (or even mixes for that matter) that have a comprehensive set of nutrients like bm or fm. Nutrients which are easily digestible/absorbed by a baby. Also, at 6 months, you ideally only offer one solid meal (one spoon or 10 depending on how much baby wants), one meal and a snack at 7m, two meals at 8 months and so on. The purpose of solids at this age (till about 1) is to encourage them to learn to eat - chew, swallow, pick up food, taste and textures etc. It is not about the nutrition. There are various physically visible signs of being ready for solids - like losing tongue thrust, being able to sit a few minutes without support etc. Make sure the baby meets these. And ofcourse, there is the question of gut readiness. Research suggests it is more ready around the 6 m mark. There is no magic that happens when the 6m mark is hit but they will definitely be more ready at 6m than at 4.5m. Weight and solids have no corelation at this age. There is no guarantee baby will gain weight. There is a possibility baby actually gets less nutrients if solids impact the milk intake - which it will - because space in the tummy is limited. Starting early could also cause obesity and other such conditions in adulthood. The size of the child has nothing to do with gut maturity. There is no link. To me, there is zero benefits to starting solids early but a possible risk. So I did not and i would not recommend starting early. They have a lifetime full to enjoy solids anyway, why rush it?
