Answer: The first tooth usually erupts by 6-8 months.A few weeks/ months up and down is considered normal.Signs teething can be seen as reg or swollen gums, sometimes a crack or hole or vent in the gums can also be noticed.During this phase baby usually gets irritable, cries more, avoid breast feeding and may even have slight fever and loose motions. You can help relieve your childs discomfort by massaging his/her gums with a clean cloth or finger, give cooled not frozen pacifiers or silicon teethers and even encourage him to chew on a cool carrot.Always have your baby under supervision to avoid chances of accidental choking

Answer: Hi dear. Constant sucking will affect the alignment of teeth. Babies have a habit of sucking fingers when they are feeling insecured. Try to figure out the cause of her anxiety and comfort her. Take the finger out whenever you see her sucking. Massage her gums regularly to ease the teething pain.
