Question: Hi...I got my double marker test and it says 1:53 for down syndrome which indicates high risk . What should be done next ?

Answer: Hi, You will be asked to go for NIPT-non invasive prenatal testing,but it is a screening test not a diagnostic test.Based on its results you may then be asked for an invasive diagnostic test like amniocentesis.Please talk to your doctor in detail regarding the risks involved. All the best.
