Answer: Its always recommended to sleep on left side not right. Swelling are common during pregnancy due to a number of factors. The increased weight on the feet causes feet to swell. There are also a number of hormonal changes taking place during pregnancy that can cause it to swell. Also during 3rd trimester, excess swelling cud b due to increased blood volume and circulation. Our prego bodies are working very hard during this last trimester to pump blood and sometimes the increased pressure in the veins leading to the extremities causes swelling. I suggest you keep ur feet in running cold water for 2-3 times in a day or use a bag of frozen peas against the painful area on your wrist. Gently exercise to move the excess fluid, and keep your legs raised whenever possible. Drinking chamomile tea could also help. Exercise & massage helps to relieve the pain.

Question: My right side leg and hip feeling pain,i can't sit properly and walk.please tell me what to do
Answer: Check the intensity of your pain if it is different from leg cramp or general pain in leg then do not worry but if you feel sudden swelling in your leg or if you feel the pain is radiating from your hips towards your toes or if you feel your pain is all in your hips . then this can be a sign of sciatic nerve pain as well as sacroiliac joint pain which is very common during pregnancy because of the growing uterus and baby weight and you are sleeping position. this pain aggravates if you are sleeping on your back or on your right side then you must quickly adapt to a new position which is ---you must sleep on your left side now. on sleeping on your left side not only elevates the pressure on your uterine arteries and vessels but also directs baby weight into the empty space on left where no major body organ is present. if you sleep on your back the baby weight will directly plunge on your spinal cord and you might feel the pain in your legs. check if your toes and fingers are swollen if this is it then you must refrain from Salt and also drink more water to flush out the toxin as well as balance out the blood volume. whenever you sleep you must put 2 to 3 pillows below your legs so as to elevate your thighs and your toes which will relieve the pressure on your veins and will reduce the swelling. you can apply Iodex or tiger balm natural relief balms and oils which are considered safe but do not apply Volini or move because one or two shot of these gels and sprays is ok but applying these gels and sprays everyday or every alternate day is harmful because of the chemical contained in Volini as well as moves. do not worry and take care
