Question:How will i know that i am going into labour. Bcz i am getting pain in back n stomach also.. plz tell me the 1st signs of labour
Answer: Hello dear. In the first stage of labour, your contractionsgradually open your cervix. Early contractions may feel like period pain. You may have cramps or backache, or both. Or you may just have aching or heaviness in the lower part of your tummy.
Six common signs to look for when the baby might be on its way.
The baby drops. Strong and regular contractions. Her water breaks. Lower back pain and cramping. Bloody vaginal discharge. Diarrhea or nausea.
Other signs of preterm labor include vaginal bleeding or spotting, unusual vaginal discharge, abdominal pain, pressure in your pelvic area, or low back pain. Your waterbreaks or you suspect that you're leaking amniotic fluid.
Early labor will last approximately 8-12 hours. Your cervix will efface and dilate to 3 cm. Contractions will last about 30-45 seconds, giving you 5-30 minutes of rest between contractions. Contractions are typically mild and somewhat irregular but become progressively stronger and more frequent. Hope it helps.
Question:I am having lower back pain in the hip area...is that normal in early pregnancy????
Answer: Hello dear. During pregnancy, your body makes a hormone called relaxin that allows ligaments in the pelvic area to relax and the joints to become looser in preparation for the birth process. The same hormone can cause ligaments that support the spine to loosen, leading to instability and pain.
Here are a few tips that might relieve you from back pain :
Ice or heat packs.
Sleep on your left side, and use a support pillow under your knees.
If these dosent help, please consult your gynecologist for further treatment. Take care.
Question:Is artifical induction has 100%guarntee to induce labour pain? My doctor said it is not mandatory that artifical induction will induce labour in every case.
Answer: hello.. dear yes there is no guarantee but there are 95% chances of induction.. there are many cases that after induction moms could not able to go for normal delivery due to the more pain and not trying to push etc.. then doctors will go for c section at that time...
