Answer: Hello! I would suggest you to avoid walker for the baby. It delays milestones and are prone to accidents. Also it might leave the upper thigh muscles weak as due to this it cannot develop. Take care

Baby walkers may cause delays in a child's ability to walk, crawl and balance, studies have proved that babies who use a walker may actually learn to walk about a month later than those who don't. Also it's prone to serious injuries and accidents. Usually walkers are not recommended. In case you want to start with the walker you can use it by 7th month. Take care.

Question: My baby is 6 months old. Please suggest if i can use baby walker ? If not, what is the correct age to use walker?
Answer: Hi dear it is actually not advisable to make baby sit in Walker. My pediatrician in Bangalore as well as at my native advised against using Walker reasons as below. 1. Making baby sit in walker will help them in reaching out to many things that are on a higher level and can easily cause accidents like slipping. 2. It will affect the natural growth of their thigh bones etc as baby walks in sitting posture. I have not used walker for my baby, he is now in his 9 month and he sits independent as well as stands on his own with support. What we did was making him sit and stand. Slowly i am teaching him walking with support.
