Answer: It is called as mild ventriculomegaly as the fetus' ventricles are only mildly enlarged measure between 10-15 millimeters in size, when there are no other problems seen on the ultrasound, and the genetic testing results that is NT scan double marker for triple marker screen tests are normal then don't worry as it will resolve on its own almost by 32 weeks You can also ask your doctor about fetal MRI, it can detect other problems in your fetus’s brain that cannot be detected on ultrasound. you should get your blood pressure and blood sugar level checked to find out the reason of increased amniotic fluid ,If checked and all is fine , then no worries. Take care
Question:Hi, my dic is suggesting me ultrasound very frequently like i'm in my 16th week and she told me take and ultrasound 3rd time. 1st ultrasound i had in initial weeks 2nd 11-15 weeks and now she is saying for an ultrasound in 15-17week. Isn't it too frequent because almost everybody suggested me not to go for ultrasound too frequently total 4 in 9 months are enough. Please suggest.
Answer: Not all dr. but Some dr are greedy they have some commission in ultra sound if you done ultrasound they get money from ultrasound centre that's why they frequently told you for ultrasound. Go to govt hospital and consult with dr. And done your ultrasound at govt hospital . Mostly 2-3 ultrasound done in whole pregnancy .
Question:Hi I am 19 weeks pregnant, in my 19 weeks ultrasound the doctor diagnosed a single cyst on the baby's brain. But other things are normal. What I have to do now I am very nervous and sad too please help me.
Answer: about 1 to 2 percent of normal babies — 1 out of 50 to 100 — a tiny bubble of fluid is pinched off as the choroid plexus forms. This appears as a cyst inside the choroid plexus at the time of ultrasound. A choroid plexus cyst can be likened to a blister and is not considered a brain abnormality.
