Question: Hi... M 33 week running. Following is my diet .... 9.30 1 chapati with 1 glass of milk with protin powder.. At 12pm small snacks or fruit (pear or pomogranate) at 2pm 1 chapati n dal rice 2 hour sleer at 5 pm snacks at 8 pm fruit or snacks at9 pm dinner 1 roti n dal rice 12 pm glass of milk with shatavari... This diet is ok or i should increase some roti n rice etc... Or qty... This diet ki vajase baby ka weight kam nahi hoga. Na...pls help..

Question: hello doctor, my wife completed 12 weeks and have daily diet as follows 8:00-8:30 am-one glass coconut water 9:00-9:30 am-one cup of tea and two chapati 11:00 am-one small glass of milk ( approximately 140 ml) 12:00- two soaked almonds 1:00-1:30- lunch ( two chapati, one veg sabji, dal n rice) 3:00 pm- one piece dry fig or one date 5:00 pm- one cup of tea 8:30 pm- dinner ( two chapati, one veg sabji, dal n rice) fruit- she eats as per her convenience and it includes half Apple or some pieces of watermelon or half pomegranate. I think she should have some more fruits, more dry fruits and some more milk. pls suggest what kind of fruits n dry fruits can be added in her diet
Answer: Hello! Thats right, more fruits should be added. Attached least she should have 4 servings of fruit per day. She can have all seasonal fruits. There is nothing problem in it. Avoid pineapple and papaya in the diet. For dry fruits she can have almonds, pistachios, figs, walnuts. She's should be having handful of it and let her have 2 glasses of milk every day.

Question: I am giving cerelac at 9am, 1 full banana at 2pm, half avocado with very little salt at 6 pm or sometimes rice and pulse puree and give BM when she needs.is it enough or I should add something ??
Answer: Hi dear Ya thats a good diet for baby...even you can introduce different tastes at this stage as baby may not get bored... foods like fruit puries apple boiled and remove skin and smash,smashed banana(remove black seeds and thin skin),boiled and smashed carrots,sweet potatoes,idly,raggi porridge can be given.. Please do not try more than one variety a day as babies digestve system is not matuared yet..feed a type of food and wait for a day and observe is there any abnormalities or allergies is there..some babies have allergies with some foods so that you can avoid next time
