9 weeks pregnant mother

Question: Hi, in my tvs scan no cardiac activity was seen after 6 weeks. Doc has scared me. Plz suggest what to do?

Answer: Go for another tvs scan for second opinion but this time have scan at other scan centre if there's no cardiac activity consult your doctor immediately

Answer: Cardiac activity in a developing fetus usually starts at the end of the 5th week. So by 6 weeks you should be able to see a heart beat through usg and by 10 -12 weeks you should be able to hear the heartbeat through doppler device. A heat beat would not be visible at 4 5 weeks of pregnancy.
